About
Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist · Licensed Clinical Social Worker
Understanding yourself matters. But most people I meet already understand a great deal about their own patterns — and still feel stuck. Insight opens the door; lasting change comes from living something new.
So my work centers on new experiences in the room: moments where you relate to your emotions differently, notice what your body has been carrying, hear your own inner wisdom more clearly, and reconnect with what actually matters to you. Insight becomes something you've lived, not just something you know.
I practice integrative, evidence-based psychotherapy, drawing from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Compassion Focused Therapy, mindfulness, and other experiential approaches. These aren't add-ons to conversation — they're woven into the therapy itself, each one a different way into the same work. Reiki and sound healing are available as optional complementary practices when they fit your goals, and your spirituality is welcome in the room whenever it's meaningful to you.
Inner Peace Counseling is a dedicated space for individuals who want a slower, more experiential kind of therapy — held within a grounded, professional therapeutic relationship.
"Inner peace isn't about having fewer problems. It's about finding calm even in the middle of them."
What Guides My Work
However we work together, these are the commitments underneath it.
You're more than your symptoms. Emotions, body, values, relationships, identity, and meaning all belong in the work — not just thoughts and behaviors.
Psychotherapy is always the foundation. I draw from well-researched approaches and choose what genuinely fits you, rather than fitting you to one method.
You don't have to arrive polished or have the right words. Sessions are a slow, judgment-free space to be human.
Experiential work is offered, never imposed. Reiki and sound healing stay optional, and spirituality is welcome here but never required.

Insurance & Pricing
Every counseling session is individualized to your unique goals. Many clients appreciate integrating mindfulness and experiential practices into psychotherapy. When aligned with your treatment goals and preferences, sessions may also incorporate complementary energy healing and sound healing practices as part of your overall counseling experience.
I accept insurance through Headway, which simplifies claims and verification on your behalf.
Currently in-network: Aetna, Cigna, Carelon Behavioral Health, Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield Virginia, and Kaiser Permanente of the Mid Atlantic.
We recommend double-checking with your insurance to confirm what your copay and deductible would be.
Not booked through Headway — handled directly through Inner Peace Counseling.
I am a certified out-of-network provider with TRICARE. This option applies to people with TRICARE Select, Reserve Select, and TRICARE for Life benefits.
Instead of my full private-pay rate, you pay 115% of TRICARE's maximum allowable amount at the time of service.
You will submit the superbill to TRICARE and typically be reimbursed within 90 days for part of the amount, minus your standard copay. If you have questions about your specific reimbursement, you can contact TRICARE directly to confirm coverage for sessions with me.
Because TRICARE appointments are not booked through Headway, please reach out directly and we'll coordinate scheduling through my own electronic health record system.
Please leave a message for Inner Peace Counseling and we'll get back to you as soon as possible.
For clients who prefer or require private pay, the rate covers the full counseling session, including any experiential practices integrated into your work together.
